The free 3-Day Driveaway Insurance from Tempcover is a single-user, fully comprehensive policy that will cover you if your used Cazoo car is lost, damaged or stolen during the first 3 days.
If you do need to make a claim, there will be a £500 excess to pay. This excess is increased to £750 for vehicles over £30,000 and for drivers aged 25 and under.
You can insure one additional person as long as they are your spouse or common-law partner. They must also live at the same address as you.
Eligibility
You must be aged 21 or older. If you’re aged 75 or older, you won’t be eligible for the insurance cover.
You must have held a full and valid UK or EU licence for at least 12 months. International licence holders will not be accepted.
You must live in the UK.
Drivers must be aged between 25 and 75 if the purchase price of the car is between £45,000 and £60,000.
The car must be aged 12 years or less from the date of first registration.
The car must be a seven seater or less. Cars with eight seats won’t be eligible for the insurance cover.
Things to note
You won’t be eligible if you’ll be using the car for work in any of the following occupations: courier driver, fast food delivery driver, taxi driver or operator, chauffeur or limousine hire, self-drive hire operator, or a sports/media professional. You also won’t be eligible if you’re unemployed. All other occupations will be acceptable.

Exclusions
Depreciation of the car, wear and tear or breakage, and failure or breakdown of mechanical and electrical components aren’t covered by this policy.

Activating your free 3-Day Driveaway Insurance
After you’ve purchased your Cazoo car, you’ll be able to activate the 3-Day Driveaway Insurance from Tempcover. Just follow the link and complete the steps. You can also find the link in your order confirmation email. The cover will need to be activated before we hand over your car, or you can arrange your own insurance coverage instead.
After the 3-Day Driveaway Insurance ends and you decide to keep the car, you’ll need to take out a monthly or annual insurance policy. If you need more time to decide, you’ll need to take out your own insurance cover for the remainder of the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee period.
