Can my car’s stop/start function stop working?
If your car has a stop/start function, there may be certain situations where it won’t activate. This is normal and is often because the car's on-board computer keeps the engine running for better efficiency.
Situations where stop/start may not activate are:
- If your car hasn’t been driven regularly and has low battery charge. A drive of at least half an hour should boost your car’s battery
- When the engine becomes cold
- When the battery is under heavy load, especially in winter
If you have any concerns at all, just give us a call on 020 3901 3488.
